Group: Corticosteroids for systemic use, glucocorticosteroids.
Indications: BetazonTab belongs to a group of medicines called corticosteroids. They are similar to the hormones secreted by the adrenal cortex and are important for humans.
Betamethasone has a strong anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic effect, which is why it is used to treat various diseases due to inflammation and allergies, such as:
- Asthma;
- Severe allergic reactions;
- Rheumatoid arthritis;
- Lupus erythematosus;
- Inflammatory diseases of the skin, kidneys, intestines and heart;
- Some types of blood diseases;
- Some types of tumors, such as malignant lymphoma.
- It is also used after organ transplantation to suppress the immune system to avoid graft rejection.
Prescription: Prescription only medicine
Each tablet contains betamethasone sodium phosphate, equivalent to 0.5 mg betamethasone.
The tablets can be taken whole with a sufficient amount of liquid.
The tablet can be divided into two equal doses.
