Dex-Tobrin 3 mg/g+1 mg/g eye ointment

Dex-Tobrin eye ointment (INN Tobramycin + Dexamethasone) is a sterile combined medicinal product for ocular use. Tobramycin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic with a broad anti-bacterial spectrum. Dexamethasone is a corticosteroid with pronounced anti-inflammatory action. Dex-Tobrin eye ointment is intended for treatment of infections of the eye and surrounding tissue in cases of suspected bacterial infection, caused by Tobramycin- susceptible microorganisms (conjunctivitis, keratitis, uveitis, burns, injuries, surgical interventions, etc.).

Nature and contents of container: Dex-Tobrin 3 mg/g+1 mg/g eye ointment 5 g is available in lacquered aluminum tubes with a tip, closed by plastic screw cap. One tube and a package leaflet in a cardboard box.

Prescriptions:

Treatment of susceptible to steroid therapy inflammations of eye and ocular appendages  at risk of developing or in existing bacterial infections caused by tobramycin-susceptible microorganisms:

• inflammatory states of palpebral and bulbar conjunctiva, cornea and anterior ocular segment;
• chronic anterior uveitis;
• chemical, thermal and radiation burns of cornea;
• perforation damages of eye bulb with existence of foreign matter.
