Hydrocortison cum Chloramphenicol eye ointment (INN Hydrocortisone + Chloramphenicol) is a sterile combined medicinal product for ocular use. Hydrocortisone is a corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory, anti-edematous and anti-allergic activity. Chloramphenicol is s broad-spectrum antibacterial agent, active against a large number of microorganisms causing eye infections. Hydrocortisone cum Chloramphenicol eye ointment is used for treatment of superficial inflammatory conditions of the front eye segment and surrounding tissues when the use of a corticosteroid is required or when there is a risk of developing a bacterial infection caused by microorganisms susceptible to chloramphenicol.

Nature and contents of container: Hydrocortison сum Chloramphenicol eye ointment 3 g is available in lacquered aluminum tubes with a tip, closed by plastic screw cap. One tube and a package leaflet in a cardboard box.
Prescriptions:
Hydrocortison сum Chloramphenicol eye ointment is applied in superficial inflammatory states of conjunctiva, cornea and front eye segment, when application of corticosteroid is recommended or when development of bacteria infection either exists or is probable.
• Inflammatory states of palpebral and bulbar conjunctiva, cornea and front eye segment;
• Chronic front uveitides.
