Tetracycline Vision eye ointment (INN: tetracycline) is a medicinal product for topical ocular use. Tetracycline is a broad-spectrum, bacteriostatic antibiotic (also, bactericidal at high doses), which is active against a great number of microorganisms, common causatives of eye infections. Tetracycline Vision, a sterile eye ointment, is used for the treatment of superficial infections of the anterior eye segment and the eyelids (hordeolum, blepharitis, conjunctivitis, keratitis, etc.), as well as а part of the pre- and postoperative prophylaxis in eye surgery.

Nature and contents of container: Tetracycline Vision 10 mg/g eye ointment is available in lacquered aluminum tubes with a tip, closed by plastic screw cap. One tube of 2,5 g; 3,5 g or 5 g and a package leaflet in a cardboard box.
Prescriptions:
Tetracycline Vision is used in adults and children.
In the form of an eye ointment, the product is indicated for topical treatment of superficial eye infections, caused by tetracycline-susceptible microorganisms, such as Streptococcus spp., Haemophilus influenzae, Escherichia coli, Neisseria, Chlamydia trachomatis.
It is used for the treatment of blepharitis, conjunctivitis, keratitis, dacryocystitis, hordeolum, trachoma, as well as a part of the pre- and postoperative prophylaxis in eye surgery.
The product is used for prevention of ophthalmia neonatorum (Neisseria gonorrhoeae) in newborns.
