Dexamethasone ABR 2 mg tablets

Dexamethasone ADB is used in various diseases that are suitable for glucocorticoid therapy, such as:

Neurological diseases
– Brain edema caused by brain tumor, neurosurgical interventions, bacterial meningitis, brain abscess.
Pulmonary and respiratory diseases
– Exacerbation of bronchial asthma, when the use of oral corticosteroids is appropriate.
Dermatological diseases
– Initial oral treatment of extensive, severe, acute skin diseases affected by glucocorticoids, such as erythroderma, pemphigus vulgaris, acute eczema.
Autoimmune/rheumatological diseases
– Initial oral treatment of autoimmune diseases, such as systemic lupus erythematosus (especially visceral forms).
– Active rheumatoid arthritis with a severe progressive course, for example, rapidly progressing destructive forms and/or extra-articular manifestations.
– Severe systemic course of juvenile idiopathic arthritis (Still’s disease).
Hematological diseases
– Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura in adults.
Infectious diseases
– Severe infectious diseases with toxic conditions (e.g. tuberculosis, typhus), only in combination with anti-infective therapy).
Endocrine diseases
– Congenital adrenogenital syndrome in adults.
Oncological diseases
– Palliative treatment of neoplastic diseases.
– Treatment of symptomatic multiple myeloma, acute lymphoblastic leukemia, Hodgkin’s disease and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, in combination with other medicinal products.
– Prevention and treatment of postoperative or cytostatic-induced vomiting, as part of antiemetic therapy.
