Doxycycline ADB 100 mg dispersible tablets

Doxycycline belongs to a group of medicines called tetracycline antibiotics.

Doxycycline ADB is used to treat various types of infections, including:
– Chest and lung infections, e.g. bronchitis, pneumonia, sinusitis;
– Urinary tract infections, e.g. cystitis, urethritis;
– Acne (skin infection);
– Eye infections;
– Sexually transmitted infections, e.g. gonorrhoea, syphilis, chlamydia;
– Fevers associated with lice and tick bites (including Lyme disease);
– Malaria, in cases where the disease does not respond to other antimalarial medicines.

Doxycycline ADB can be used to prevent some infections, such as typhoid (a serious disease caused by R. tsutsugamushi – a type of small insect), cholera, “traveller’s” diarrhoea, malaria, leptospirosis (a bacterial infection)..
